ABOUT KERALA LAW ACADEMY
Established in 1966 Kerala Law Academy [KLA] is a seat of excellence in legal education, consultancy and research and in pioneering law reforms. The formal inauguration of KLA was done on 21 October 1967 by E M S Namboodiripad, the then Chief Minister of Kerala. The Academy’s prestigious institute, “the Kerala Law Academy Law College” is located in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. ‘KLA Legal Aid Clinic and KLA Legal Services Centre’ is actively working to impart legal awareness to poor and illiterate people and to make students socially relevant and professionally competent legal professionals. It also offers legal and paralegal services by the faculty and the students. KLA was the first organization in the state to take up legal aid on a massive scale. KLA’s acclaimed peer-reviewed/refereed research journal“Academy Law Review” has been published continuously since 1977.
ABOUT 22nd NATIONAL CLIENT CONSULTATION COMPETITION
The Kerala Law Academy is organizing the 22nd National Client Consultation competition (virtual) on 10, 11 and 12 November 2022. The last date for registration is 30th October 2022.
PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
The client consulting competition promotes greater knowledge and interest among law students in practical laws and consulting functions of law practices. It also encourages participants to develop interviewing, planning and analytical skills in the lawyer-client relationship as interviewing and advising areas form a significant part of most lawyer’s work.
TEAM COMPOSITION
The competition is open to all Law Universities/ Law schools / Law colleges and Faculties/ University Departments of Law in India recognized by the Bar Council of India. Participation is limited to LLB/B.L/B.G.L students both in 3 year scheme and 5 year scheme. Each team shall consist of 2 students.
REGISTRATION DETAILS & FEES

AWARDS AND PRIZES
The winner shall be awarded with Justice P. Govinda Menon Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy and Rs 50,000/- and the runner up shall be rewarded with trophy and Rs 30,000/-
