2nd virtual session on “Teaching as a career option in law”

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Law and Justice Research Foundation (LJRF) is a society registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act and also an entity registered under NITI Aayog, Government of India. The Ultimate aim of team LJRF is to promote basic Constitutional Literacy, Establish and administer institutions for promotion of Legal Education along with Conduct of Social Audits to analyses the impact of Law on Society.

TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME

Teachers Development Programme (TDP) started in March 2021 as a seven months course for UGC NET, LJRF and Assistant Professor aspirants by the Law and Justice Research Foundation in association with Lawexams. Through this platform weekly classes are conducted for the students along with practical sessions in Online Learning Management System (LMS).

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Dr. Saroja A.S

Dr. Saroja A.S was the former Principal of Government Law College Trivandrum, Thrissur and Ernakulam, Dr. Saroja enrolled in 1983 and practiced with her father the legendary  Sri K.Ananthasivam at Kollam. She soon joined academics where  for almost 25 year’s law society and students have looked to Dr. Saroja, as one of the prominent names, engaged in providing credible legal education in India.  Apart from expertise in the education of  budding lawyers, she taught Property Law, Civil Law, Constitutional Law, Succession Law & Wills, Corporate & Commercial Law, Agency & Franchise Laws.

Prof. Sawmiya Rajaram

Prof. Sawmiya Rajaram is an Associate Professor at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University). She had done her higher education from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. She previously worked as an International Trade Law Expert for analyzing and drafting responses to World Trade Organisation (WTO) on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Notifications. She has also worked as a Junior Local Expert (Technical Regulations) in a project run by EU-CITD.Her areas of interests are public international law, international trade law, European Technical Regulations and IPR.

ABOUT THE SESSION

Law And Justice Research Foundation in association with Lawexams is conducting a virtual session on the topic “ Teaching As A Career Option In Law-Session 2 “ on 28th of August 2022 at 10 .00 a.m. The resource persons for the session is Dr. Saroja A.S , Former Principal Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram , Ernakulam and Ms. Sawmiya Rajaram, Associate Professor Jindal Global Law School.

The virtual session would be followed by an interactive session headed by Mr. Jino.M.Kurian , Assistant Professor in Law Tamil Nadu National Law University, Ms. Runcie Mathew , Research Scholar, National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Ms. Raniyal Niyada.P , Assistant Professor, Government Law College, Kozhikode and Mr. Anantha Krishnan AK, Advocate, High Court of Kerala.
