4th National Moot Court Competition, 2024 by ST. Joseph’s College of Law [12 -14 July, 2024]

The 4th edition to the SJCL National Moot Court Competition is set to begin on the 12th of July, 2024 at the St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bangalore.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Established in the year 2017, St. Joseph’s College of Law, Bangalore is the pioneer Jesuit law college in South Asia that is strengthened with a 450 -year-old legacy in imparting quality education through the Jesuit mission of molding students into ‘people of competence, conscience and compassion dedicated to the service of faith and the promotion of justice’. In pursuance of the noble Jesuit motto –‘Fide et Labore’, SJCL was founded on the ideals of practicing law, promoting justice and so transform society. Emboldened with a vision to ‘transform the lives of people by bringing about a just an egalitarian society’, the College believers in a steadfast focus to bridge law and governance with a human rights approach. The college, through neoteric, has been able to work towards these set ideals.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

The 4th SJCL National Moot Court Competition is specifically curated to provide aspiring lawyers with a platform to showcase their research, analytical abilities, and legal expertise in the field of Human Rights and Personal Law. The competition’s objective is to explore the Human rights and personal law.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all law students (3 year LLB/5 year LLB integrated course) or any equivalent law program from any law college/department/university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

TEAM COMPOSITION
  • Only one team per Institution will be entertained. Team codes shall be given after the completion of the registration process.
  • Team shall comprise of max. three members (2 speakers and 1 researcher).
  • Disclosure of identity of the Institutions by teams from which they belong is strictly prohibited and non compliance will invite penalties, including disqualification and decision for the same shall be at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registration fees – without accommodation – INR 5000; with accommodation – INR 8000

(The option of accommodation is not available for institutions in Bangalore Urban and Bangalore Rural)
