Social Justice Department, Alappuzha in association with District Administration and K Chittilappilly Foundation distributed financial assistance to disabled and elderly people of the Kainakari panchayat , to gain self employment .
The initiative was inaugurated by Alappuzha District Collector Renu Raj I.A.S . The program was conducted on 23rd March at Kainakari Graham panchayat conference hall. The needy citizens were sorted out by the local self government. In total 34 people were aided with an amount of Rs. 30,000 per head. To equip the people with the details regarding the employment, the way to generate income and mechanisms to save the income , an orientation program was also initiated.
