Higher Education Department passed an order on 22-06-2023 in connection with the creation of 26 new teaching posts following the allocation of additional batches in four Government Law Colleges.
Based on the recommendation of the Bar Council of India, the number of students in each batch of LLB courses was fixed at sixty and five additional batches were alloted in various Government Law Colleges.The High Court of Kerala directed the Government to take appropriate decision to ensure the prescribed number of faculties in accordance with the allocation of new batches.
Based on the judgement of the High Court and the proposal made by Principals of Government Law Colleges the following 26 additional posts have been created by the Government.
- Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram – Assistant Professor (Law) – 2
- Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram – Assistant Professor (English) -1
- Government Law College, Ernakulam – Assistant Professor (Law) – 7
- Government Law College, Thrissur – Assistant Professor (Law) – 6
- Government Law College, Thrissur – Assistant Professor ( Management) – 3
- Government Law College, Kozhikode- Assistant Professor (Law) – 7
