Life took a drastic turn for Chandramathi when she approached the adalat revealing that she is no longer able to attend to her son who is mentally challenged. As soon as the news reached the ears of Minister Saji Cheriyan , he took the initiative to make the call to Gandhi Bhavan himself leading to this remarkable result.

Under the watch of the Ministry Of Social Justice and Empowerment, Chandramathi was shifted to Gandhi Bhavan. Previously, Chandramathi and her son were residents of Chunakkara. Subsequently, they moved into the neighbourhood in Thekkekara which was registered in the name of her son.
