Centre For Constitutional Literacy, Chirayinkeezhu in association with Kerala Law Academy Legal Aid Clinic organised a ‘Constitutional Awareness Class’ for Chirayinkeezhu ward members in connection with republic day celebrations. The event conducted at Chirayinkeezhu Block Panchayat Office dealt with the topic ‘IMPORTANCE OF CONSTITUTIONAL LITERACY AND ROLE OF LOCAL SELF GOVERNMENT’.
Adv. Firoz Lal, the Vice President of Chirayinkeezhu Block Panchayath delivered the welcome address. The presidential address for the program was given by Smt. Jayasree PC , the President of Chirayinkeezhu Block Panchayath. Sri.V. Sasi, MLA of Chirayinkeezhu Constituency inaugurated the well organised event.
The keynote address was given by Sri. Mohamed Shaffi V M, Assistant Public Prosecutor Sr.Gr & Training Manager, Directorate of Prosecutions, Ernakulam. Smt. Arya Sunil Paul, Assistant Professor, Kerala Law Academy, Faculty Convenor, KLA Legal Aid Clinic and Services delivered the felicitation. Sri. Gokul G S, Convenor, Centre for Constitutional Literacy, General Student Convenor, KLA Legal Aid Clinic and Services concluded the inaugural function by delivering the Vote of Thanks.
The first session focused on the topic ‘Analysis of SC/ST Atrocities Act. The session was led by Sri. N. Giridharan, Assistant Professor, Kerala Law Academy. Sri. Binu P M, Assistant Professor, Kerala Law Academy handled the second session on ‘Women and Children’.
