The Department of Social Justice was awarded the third position for best performance in the exhibition and marketing fair organized from 17th to 23rd April at Alappuzha beach as part of the second anniversary celebration of the state government.
The artists of Shornur Tholpavkoot Kala Kendra who participated in the activities of Social Justice Department, Rehab Express – NIPMR / therapists, Govt. doctors and other employees of Dental and Medical College, employees of various institutions (State Disabled Welfare Corporation, KFC, Industries Department, Backward Development Corporation, SBI) who collaborated with the initiative – DPR Clinic, officials of various welfare institutions and special schools who perfected the marketing stall, officials of various differently-abled organizations who were active in the fair, other workers, counselors and other employees of welfare institutions, caregivers of day-care homes, employees of the National Trust, children with cerebral palsy who came from different districts of the state to participate in the football exhibition, and Alappuzha Alpha Academy, which supported the organization of the competition, Cerebral Palsy Football Association, employees of Women and Child Development Department who participated in the seminar, students of various colleges and employees of Social Justice Department has contributed immensely to this achievement.
The fair has helped in bringing various services of Social Justice Department and information about the activities of the department to thousands of people. The social justice systems of the district will definitely be strengthened by the recognition received during the second anniversary celebration program of the State Government. This achievement will further help make the services provided through various schemes and programs accessible to the more deserving people.
