Thiruvananthapuram:- Long cherished dream of inmates of Peroorkada Mental Health Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, for a special ward for mothers and children is coming true. This is the first of its kind among the mental health centres in the state. The building is being constructed by Gemini Software Solutions, using their CSR fund as a part of Thiruvananthapuram District Legal Services Authority’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program.
The program Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav aims to provide legal education and services to the unprivileged , who by their social circumstances have limited access Legal Aid. The function organised at mental health centre was inaugurated by the Kerala High Court Judge N.Anilkumar and was presided over by MLA V.K Prasanth. The foundation stone was laid by the CEO of Gemini Solutions Mr. Renjith Darwin. The gathering was welcomed by the hospital superintendent L. Anilkumar. Additional District Judge Mini das, Taluk Legal Services Committee Chairman and CBI Judge Sanalkumar, Ward Councillor P. Jamela Sreedhar shared their thoughts . K . Vidyadharan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority and Sub Judge proposed the vote of thanks for the event.
