ABOUT THE ROLE:
The designated experts will be helping one of the world’s leading AI research labs on shaping the future of how artificial intelligence is used in India including building and evaluating the most advanced AI systems that understand Indian language and culture and need domain experts to help push the limits of what these models are capable of doing.
As an AI Trainer, your role will be to craft sophisticated, culturally rooted Malayalam prompts in one or more of the above domains that today’s AI models struggle to answer. These prompts will directly influence how next
generation models learn to think, reason, and interact with deep cultural and academic knowledge.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Design and curate difficult questions, prompts, and tasks in Malayalam in one or more of the above domains; with native-level grammar, spelling, and stylistic precision.
- Evaluate AI responses for depth, cultural sensitivity, and factual accuracy.
- Push models to the edge of their capabilities by identifying nuanced failures, edge cases, and blind spots.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A fluent communicator (both reading and writing) in Malayalam and English.
- A true subject matter expert: Desirable to have a PhD/M Phil/Masters, have published research, or have worked extensively in one of the above domains.
- Deeply embedded in Indian culture: You grew up in India and currently reside there. You bring real-world cultural insight that models cannot yet grasp.
- A tech enthusiast: You’ve already used various AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or others in the past. You’re excited about the future of AI in India and want to shape it for the entire Country. Bonus points if you make relevant social media content (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.) in your area of expertise!
- Passionate about precision, depth, and quality in both your language and subject expertise.
EXPECTED COMMITMENT:
Candidates who can commit 10-20+ hours per week, for the span of 1-2 months, are preferred. Based on the results of the initiative, this initiative may continue for a longer period of time.
