The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan is offering a prestigious one-month, in-person judicial internship on a rolling basis from August to December 2025, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and availability.

About Justice K.V. Viswanathan

He is slated to become the Chief Justice of India from August 12, 2030, to May 25, 2031. Upon assuming this role, he will be the fourth individual to be directly elevated from the bar to the position of Chief Justice.

Location: Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.

Mode: Full-time, in-person internship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Law students who are:

  • Undergraduate: At least in 2nd year or above (for 3-year LLB courses), or 4th year or above (for 5-year integrated law courses).
  • Postgraduate: Law postgraduates are also eligible.

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic credentials and interest in legal research and judicial functioning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on cases assigned by Justice K.V. Viswanathan.
  • Prepare case briefs that summarize facts, legal arguments, precedents, and judgments.
  • Draft legal memos, opinions, and notes to assist the judge in decision-making.
  • Attend court proceedings and meetings to observe and take notes.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism throughout the internship.
  • Assist in other tasks as directed by the judge or the office staff.
