Building on the triumph of Season I, Project Complete Lawyer has now evolved into the PCL Foundation, operating with a well-defined organizational framework. Season I participants have come together to bolster the PCL Foundation and are eagerly gearing up for the launch of Project Complete Lawyer Season II.”

About PCL Foundation

The Complete Lawyer is an innovative project developed by the Cochin Institute of International Arbitration and Law and Justice Research Foundation, inspired by the teachings of Prof. Dr N R Madhava Menon. Its primary objective is to help fresh law graduates become independent practitioners within a shorter period of time – less than 2 years after graduation – by providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the legal profession and its various institutions. The project is based on the fundamental principle that all institutions created under law operate under the rule of law, including the higher judiciary, district judiciary, and various tribunals. By studying the jurisdiction, practice, and procedures followed by these institutions, the project aims to empower students to enter the legal profession with confidence.

The Concept for Project Complete Lawyer- Season II

A one-line of the concept is:

A program to bridge the gap between the law school to the legal profession.

In a broader sense, the program is intended to reduce the notorious incubation period of a law student while entering the legal profession, whether as a litigation lawyer or as an inhouse lawyer. In this program, training is offered in the skills of lawyering, study of the legal institutions, industry specific legal practices etc. A systematic method of training, taking que from the past experience, is being considered for Season II.

Syllabus

The syllabus covers the study of institutions like the higher judiciary, High Courts, District Judiciary, Tribunals, and introduces legal practice skills and values, including Industry-Specific Legal Practice.

Eligibility

Fourth and Fifth Year are eligible to john Season II of Project Complete Lawyer;
Students of Second and Third Year in the Three Year LLB Stream.

Duration

The total duration would 120 hours over a period of 6 months

Pedagogy

The selected students will be registered on the Moodle platform, where study materials will be uploaded, and online sessions with experts will be arranged for interaction, along with assessments and assignments.
