Kozhikode District Legal Services Authority has been awarded the best Legal Services Authority in the State this year , by KELSA.The award has been given on the basis of diverse activities conducted among the differently abled, women, children and tribal sections of the district. Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur DLSAs came second while Palakkad and Kottayam bagged the third place. Soja Beevi hailing from Kottayam was selected as the best para-legal volunteer and Riquiya Ashraf from Malappuram was selected for the second position.M S Ajith from Ernakulam was awarded the best panel lawyer award.
The award ceremony was conducted at Ernakulam where Justice K Vinod Chandran , High Court Judge and also the Executive Chairman,State Legal Services Authority handed over the awards to Swalih K E, District judge, Kozhikode and Taluk Legal Service Authority Chairman.M P Shyjal, sub judge and Secretary,District Legal Service Authority also received the award from Justice K Vinod Chandran.
