“The greatest threat to our Constitution is our own ignorance of it.”
The Constitution of India is the holy grail of the Indian Democracy that serves as a material qui vive for the citizens of India. But what if students and citizens are yet to be aware? Awareness of our rights is sine qua non for their enforcement. You cannot demand your right without knowing what your right entails. The Centre for Constitutional Literacy was launched by the Law and Justice Research Foundation (LJRF) therefore, for the very purpose of enabling simple, yet profound discourse on the evolution of the Constitution, its awareness, philosophy and interpretation. With a mission of achieving Constitutional Literacy, it has published over 100 articles and conducted both online and offline sessions on landmark constitutional judgements and basic rights’ awareness among common man.

The LJRF Centre for Constitutional Literacy is delighted to announce the Essay Writing Competition for the year 2026-27. This is an exclusive opportunity for those who are keen on understanding the Constitution not just for the document it is, but the essence, history, evolution and philosophy of each of its provisions.
