ABOUT LJRF VOICE

The Law and Justice Research Foundation (LJRF) Voice (www.ljrfvoice.com) is a prestigious project of the Law and Justice Research Foundation. It is a website that publishes original academic works in the form of articles, book reviews, case comments etc. LJRF Voice concentrates on areas of socio-legal significance and accepts submission following various approaches to law including empirical studies.

ABOUT LJRF VOICE INTERNSHIP

LJRF Voice is conducting a 1-week Internship Programme for law students who have an interest in the field of legal journalism and also an aptitude of research. The internship will comprise of comprehensive lectures on Journalism and also covers the importance of legal journalism. The number of seats is limited. The application would be evaluated on Individual basis and selected candidates would be informed Via mail.

INAUGURAL SESSION

The official inaugural ceremony of LJRF voice 1-week internship on legal journalism will be held on 13th March 2022 [6pm-8pm].In the Inaugural function esteemed chief guest is Shri. Adv.Joseph John [Former Chairman of Bar Council of Kerala],welcoming remarks by Smt. Raniyal Niyada P[ Editor-in-chief ,LJRF Voice],Presidential address by Smt.Dr.Saroja A.S [Former Principal Government Law college ,Thiruvanthapuram], Introduction to LJRF by Shri.Adv.Chindhu Joseph[President of Trivandrum Chapter] followed by Introduction to LJRF Voice and Internship by Ms.Anupam Ayisha [Editor LJRF Voice] and vote of thanks will be delivered by Ms. Vismaya Shaji [Editor LJRF Voice].

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

INTRODUCTION TO LJRFVOICE INTERNSHIP

Important Dates:

a)Period of Internship: 13th March, 2022- 19th March, 2022

b)Last Date for Topic Selection: 15th March, 2022

c)Last Date for Submission: 25th March 2022

d)Issue of Certificate: 30th March, 2022

  1. Attendance to all sessions is mandatory. Please ensure the same. The
    attendance of the day shall be published in the Internship group by 10:00 PM,
    each day.
  2. Each day of the Internship is assigned to a group. It shall be the responsibility
    of the supervisor of the group to ensure that two students are assigned with
    the task of Welcoming the session and ending with a Vote of thanks
  3. The Link for the session will be active by 5:50 PM every day. All Participants must join before 5:55PCameras must be turned on during the entire session.
  4. On the Inaugural day, immediately after the ceremony, there shall be a 30minutes Ice breaking session. The purpose of the session is for the candidates to introduce themselves to the group.
  5. All participants must compulsorily submit a written assignment for the successful fulfillment of the Internship.This assignment may be a case analysis, article on relevant legal issues or a critical analysis of any current legal development.
  6. The participants are given complete freedom to choose the topic of assignment, subject to the approval of internship committee
  7. The participants must inform the topic of selection by March 15th, 2022 via

  9. The internship committee shall maintain a list of relevant topics for assignment.
  10. The intern shall be free to consult the Supervisor and choose a topic of convenience from the list.
  11. No two interns can select the same topic.
  12. The submissions must be made in accordance with the instructions given below.

  14. The last date for submission shall be on 25th March, 2022, 11:59 PM.
  15. Eligible submission shall be published on Ljrfvoice.com
  16. Best three submissions shall be chosen and certificates shall be issued.
  17. In case of any disparity or ambiguity, the Ljrfvoice Internship Committe shall hold the final authority.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

  1. This document is intended to provide a guideline on submission of
    assignment for LJRF Voice one week Internship program on legal
    journalism.
  2. The assignment submitted must confine to case analysis, article on
    relevant legal issues or a critical analysis of any current legal
    development.
  3. The article must be submitted via the form found at
    www.ljrfvoice.com/submit-article/
  4. It is critical for each author to take full responsibility for ensuring that
    their article is of the highest quality and conforms to all the requirements
    of this guide. These requirements include complete and properly
    formatted footnotes as well as the grammar and coherence of the text.
  5. The text must include an Introduction and conclusion with suggestions if
    any.
  6. The Article submitted must be original. The acceptable percentage of
    plagiarism is 10%.
  7. To facilitate a wider outreach, the article must be submitted in the English
    language.
  8. The article may vary in length and has an upper word limit of 700words
    with a minimum of 500 words
  9. Text and citations should ideally conform to the rules in THE
    BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF CITATION (20th edition). The
    article shall follow endnotes as the method of citation.
  10. The article must use Calibri font size 12 with One-inch (2.5 cm)
    margins, 1.5 spacing and justified.
