ABOUT HIMACHAL PRADESH NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, SHIMLA
Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (HPNLU) was established by an act of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in the year 2016 (act 16 of 2016) as a fully residential National Law University.HPNLU has always tried to inculcate an interest for mooting in its students and considers mooting to be an integral part of a wholesome law school experience. The Moot Court Committee (MCC) is the official student committee for managing mooting activities and events at HPNLU.
ABOUT CHAMBERS OF ABHINAV MISHRA,ADVOCATES AND SOLICITORS
Chambers of Abhinav Mishra, Advocates & Solicitors was established in 2018 and has emerged as one of the eminent legal service providers for its diverse practice capabilities. The Chambers caters to litigations, Advisories, Corporate compliances to its clientage Pan India and is focused on providing strategic, innovative, and holistic legal solutions to its clients.The Chambers since its inception has also been actively contributing towards the promotion and development of the legal education by way of organizing various webinars and legal awareness camps on varied laws under the banner of ‘IndianLegal Renaissance’ and this Competition is yet another initiative to provide a plat-form for the law students pan India to learn the practical aspects of law.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
This event has been devised with the aim of creating the opportunity for the learning and development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in Insolvency and Bankruptcy law besides armouring the coming generation of the legal fraternity with research and oratory skills.
As a law school, HPNLU takes pride in developing academic and advocacy Excellence among law students by appraising them about skills pertaining to the drafting of the memorials, articulation of arguments and answering the queries of the bench. This helps the students to grow as individuals and also motivates them to come forward and showcase their skillset.HPNLU has successfully conducted two editions of HPNLU National Virtual Moot
Court Competition in 2021, both of which saw a large participation by law students from all over the nation.

Interested teams are required to register for the competition by filling out the registration form –
A prior payment of INR 3000\- (Indian Rupees Three Thousand Only) as the registration fees are required to be deposited via SBI Collect Online Bank to register for the competition.

AWARDS
Winners: The Team shall be awarded a cash prize of INR 33,000/- (Indian Rupees Thirty-Three Thousand Only) along with Internship Opportunity in a Top Tier Law Firm plus six months subscription of “ibclaw.in” plus a Certificate of Excellence.
Runner ups: The Team shall be awarded a cash prize of INR 24,000/- (Indian Rupees
Twenty-Four Thousand Only) along with Internship Opportunity in Top Tier Law Firm plus six months subscription of “ibclaw.in” plus a Certificate of Excellence.
Best Memorial Award: The Team having the highest average Memorial scores from both sides shall be rewarded with the cash prize of INR 11,000/- (Indian Rupees Eleven Thousand Only) along with six months subscription of “ibclaw.in” plus a Certificate of Excellence.
Best Researcher: The Researcher scoring the highest score in the Researcher’s Test shall be rewarded with the cash prize of INR 5,000/- (Indian Rupees Five Thousand Only) along with six months subscription of “ibclaw.in” plus a Certificate of Merit.
Best Mooter/Speaker:
The Best Mooter final round – INR 11,000 /-
The Best Mooter Semi-final round – INR 9000 /-
The Best Mooter Quarter-final round – INR 7000 /-
The Best Mooter Octa-final round – INR 5000 /-
The Best Mooter in Preliminary round – INR 3000 /-
• Best Mooter from each round will get an internship opportunity of 4 weeks under the
guidance and supervision of AAAIP or Chambers of Abhinav Mishra, Advocates and
Solicitors plus six months access of Insolvency Module from IBCLaw.in
• E-Certificate of merit shall be given to all the teams qualifying for the Quarter-finals
Round.
• E-Certificate of participation shall be given to all the participating teams.
