The Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (KILE) is conducting a Symposium on the Topic ”Prospects, Challenges and Work life of Gig and Platform workers in Kerala on 29th of this month 2022 at Apollo Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram.
Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment is an autonomous body constituted by the Government of Kerala for the purpose of training, research, and publications in labour and related subjects. The primary objective of this body is to equip the Industrial and Employment scenario of Kerala and Kerala Labour to cope with the changing economic scenario, to maintain a cordial industrial relations climate in the State, and to cultivate a new work culture among the three partners of industrial relations – the Government, workers and the management. For this purpose the Institute is organising training programmes, seminars, workshops etc., and undertakes research programme. They also analyse the specific problems encountered in the planning and implementation of labour, employment and allied programmes for recommending suitable remedial measures. Further, they Prepare and publish books, periodicals and papers in furtherance of the objectives of KILE.
The Programme will be inaugurated by the honourable Minister Sri. V. Sivankutty, Minister for General Education and Labour, Government of Kerala. The programme will also witness the presence of Dr. Vasuki IAS, Labour Commisioner, Government of Kerala; Sri K.N Gopinath, Chairman of KILE and several other dignitaries as mentioned in the Schedule of the Programme.
