Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) has announced three vacancies for the position of Teaching & Research Associate (Law) under the School of Maritime Law, Policy & Administration (SMLPA). The selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of ₹45,000 per month. The application deadline is January 1, 2025.
Role and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of senior university officials, the Teaching & Research Associates will:
- Conduct interdisciplinary research in law, collaborating with staff and students.
- Provide research assistance to faculty.
- Develop and execute research projects with external institutions and government bodies.
- Support faculty by sharing insights on emerging research trends.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of academic, research, and training programs.
- Organize research-based training sessions.
- Undertake administrative and coordination tasks as needed.
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in International Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent.
- Awareness of recent national and international research trends in relevant areas.
- Capability to organize international training workshops and discussions.
- Proficiency in English.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Specialization in Maritime Law or International Trade Law.
- Experience in teaching/research at reputed law institutions.
- National Eligibility Test (NET) or equivalent qualifications.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
