In the situation where monsoon diseases and epidemics are increasing, as part of the “Oppam Project” being carried out for the upliftment of women which is the dream project of respected Kattakkada MLA IB Satish, allopathy, ayurveda and homeopathy medical camps were conducted in 6 panchayats of the constituency on 12th, 13th and 14th July 2023 with the cooperation of said panchayats.
Constituency level inauguration was done by IB Satish MLA.
It was said that the medical camp which was conducted by combining the three departments which has not been implemented in any other constituencies with the participation of the people by including the officials of various departments and people’s representatives, was very well accepted by the people.Along with this, the service of the free disease diagnosis mobile unit conducted by the Kerala Social Security Mission under the leadership of Malabar Diamond and Goldsin was used.
MLA visited the medical camp and inquired about it.
The camp was held under the leadership of the medical officers of all the three departments with the participation of the people. Health awareness classes were conducted under the leadership of the medical officers, digital literacy classes were conducted under the leadership of “Young India” organization, and a demo class was conducted to create awareness among the common people about the exploitation of mobile, tab, computer, laptop and social media.
Ayurvedic herbs was burned as per medical procedure.
The clinical nutrition service conducted under the supervision of ICDS supervisors was also very beneficial. Around 1300 people sought treatment in six panchayats. Medicines for detected diseases and medicines for disease prevention were distributed free of cost. Those who were found to need further treatment during the examination were also referred to other hospitals.
