Vacancy For Research Associates in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Research Associate in the discipline of Law.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION:

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), established under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 is a regulatory Board whose headquarters is based in new Delhi and its chief work revolves around the implementation of the Code and as a regulator has an oversight over the Insolvency Professionals, Insolvency Professional Agencies, Insolvency Professional Entities and Information Utilities. It writes and enforces rules for processes, namely, corporate insolvency resolution, corporate liquidation, individual insolvency resolution and individual bankruptcy under the Code. It is also the ‘Authority’ under Companies(Registered Valuers and Valuation Rules), 2017 for regulation and development of the profession of valuers in the country.

ABOUT THE VACANCY:

In order to discharge its functions under the Code, 2016, the Board is encouraging applications for the post of Research Associate in Law on a Contractual Basis.

Pay Scale: Level II Rs. 80,000/- (Consolidated Monthly Remuneration + 10% annual increase)

Experience: [(Employment/Practice/Research) in the relevant discipline] = >3-<=5 years [N.B. Only post qualification experience would be considered]

No. of Posts: 4 (May differ as per Board’s discretion)

Tenure: One Year (May extend to another 1 year as per the Board’s requirements and performance of the candidate)

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

  1. LLB or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution; &
  2. Qualified to be enrolled as an Advocate in a Bar Council constituted under the Advocate’s Act, 1961 (25 of 1961)

Desirable:

  1. Consistent high academic performance;
  2. LLM/ Doctoral degree from a reputed University or Institution in Law or a closely related area;
  3. Degree/Diploma/Certification in Regulatory/Business Law/ Economics
