It was just a couple of weeks before the day when Harsha and Ardra participated in a Television Programme of Flowers TV channel, that their father expired due to heart disease.
They had already lost their mother few years back. Harsha was born with dysfunctional legs and her Mom was everything to her. With her dedication she was able to complete B.Com with flying colors. The struggle after Mom’s death shook her. But still she was never ready to give up. Harsha took tuition classes for school children and helped her father with the income. Her father had returned from abroad to take care of his kids after their mother’s despise. But everything was not that easy for the family. Soon Harsha’s condition became difficult that she was not able to use the wheel chair anymore. Haripad Janamaithri Police provided Electric Wheelchair to this bold girl and saved the situation.
Now the loss of their father has made them permanently alone. Relatives apprehend them as a burden in future. Education and marriage of these girls have to be done. Money is a problem and is always one. Financial independence of these two girls is inevitable and there was no light in this perfect darkness of despair.
It was during these chaotic days that they took part in a show hosted by Sreekandan Nair in Flowers TV called ‘Oru Kodi’ (One Crore) programme. They revealed their disheartening story. No one can ever neglect the peaceless days that they had all this while. Loss of parents and lack of income lets Harsha down because she wants her sister to receive good education and get settled. Being helpless is a struggle to cope up with. When everything else lets you down, you simple believe some miracle to happen. Afterall, the last one to lose hope should be you and only you.
This time Aleppey District Social Justice Office collaborated with Haripad Rotary Club with sponsorship is arranging Computer, Printer, Photostat Machine and furniture to bring a new beginning into Harsha’s life to start a Online Service Centre. This initiative is held on 29th January 2023, inaugurated by Aleppey Collector Sri Krishna Theja IAS. The venture is an attempt to support the ones who are left out but wanting to sustain with a better future. The two sisters will now be able to move ahead, dream big and make it come true.
Harsha stands as an epitome of strength and perseverance not letting herself down though hit by many challenges in her life.
