Winners of the CCL Article Writing Competition on ‘Judicial Independency’

The constitution is the ultimate legal sanctity under which the entire Nation is governed. A comprehensive study about the Constitution is absolutely necessary so that it can empower people to fight for their rights and strengthen them to question every injustice in the society.

ABOUT CCL: Centre for Constitutional Literacy is a non-profit organization that works to promote constitutional literacy and civic engagement in India. The Centre organizes workshops, seminars, and other events to educate people about the Indian Constitution and their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Centre for Constitutional Literacy (CCL) aims at imparting Constitutional erudition among college students and among the students of 11th and 12th standards in Government and Government Aided Schools. CCL is responsible for conducting socio-legal surveys and engaging in various other activities in order to comprehend various socio-legal concerns. It sets up awareness classes among Higher Secondary students in Government and Aided Schools for imparting constitutional knowledge is one among them.

CCL coordinates with organizations having departments dedicated to constitutional literacy and will strive to maintain an effective communication channel with various social service organizations. It also acts as a liaison between the judiciary and the constitutional literacy initiative. The constitutional literacy classes have already begun in Chirayinkeezu and Nedumangad Constituency.

As part of constitutional awareness program, CCL Nedumangad Constituency conducted an article writing competition on the topic:

“Judicial Independency”.

The competition was open to all law students and young people interested in constitutional law and the importance of an independent judiciary. The articles were judged on their originality, clarity, and analysis of the topic. The winning articles will be published in LJRF Voice site, the Centre’s newsletter. They will also be awarded certificates of merit. 

The Centre congratulates all the participants in the competition. Their articles were thoughtful and perceptive, and they provided valuable insights into the importance of judicial independence.
