ABOUT THE INSTITUTION:
Established in 1974 under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, CPCB is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and entrusted with powers and functions under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air( Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Foremost duties of the CPCB include – to promote cleanliness of streams and wells in different areas of the States by prevention, control and abatement of water pollution, and to improve the quality of air and to prevent, control or abate air pollution in the country.
ABOUT THE POST:
Name of the Post: Assistant Law Officer (Level 7 in pay matrix)
Number of Posts: 1 (One)
Salary: Rs. 44,990/- — Rs. 1,42,400/-
Age Limit: 30 years
Eligibility:
- i. Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University or Institution; and
- ii. Should have five years’ experience as an Officer of the State Judicial Service; or
- iii. Should have five years’ experience in the Legal Department of a State; or
- iv. Should be a Central Government servant, who has five years’ experience in legal affairs; or
- v. Should be a qualified legal practitioner, who has practiced as such for five years.
- Note: The advocacy period shall be computed with legal advice period for required experience of five years.
