Centre for Law & Policy Research (CLPR) has invited applications from resourceful and eligible participants for the 2026-2028 Edition of Constitution Defenders Fellowship.
ABOUT CLPR:
Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR), is a Not-for-Profit Organization founded by luminaries – Smt. Jayna Kothari and (Prof.) Dr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy, way back in 2009. The Institution has strived through law and policy research social and governance interventions and strategic impact litigation, thereby making the Constitution powers practical and accessible to all. The Institution focuses on laws relating to disability rights, transgender rights, discrimination and intersectionality. Through workshops and seminars, they illuminate people’s minds with the work they are involved.

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP:
Name of the Fellowship: Constitution Defenders Fellowship
Eligibility:
- Practicing Lawyers (14 Fellows from Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu) & 4 Fellows from rest of India
- Law Graduate enrolled with a State Bar Council
- Min. 2 years of litigation experience
- Commitment to rights-based advocacy and social justice and strong research, writing, speaking and drafting skills in English
Duration: 33 month (2.75 years) with monthly stipend
