Meet Our Editor Trainees For The Year 2023

The Law and Justice Research Foundation Voice is very excited to welcome new editor trainees who have made it possible to find places here, after undergone the LJRF Voice Internship Program 2023.

The Law and Justice Research Foundation provides this unparalleled opportunity to develop each of their skills and interests and gain innovative experience in legal journalism under proper guidance. This program will allow selected fellows to: (i) Assist the LJRF team in article reporting and research projects. (ii) Support the faculty in delivering various prestigious programmes

Our nine editor trainees come from diverse backgrounds with academic and intellectual interests

As a trainee they will work with members of Law and Justice Research Foundation on various aspects of legal journalism, where they will learn and contribute to ongoing projects.

We spoke to our new editor trainees on their work and interests. Here’s what they had to say

1. GARGI ULLAS is a UNITARY LLB (3 year) student at Sree Narayana Law College,Poothotta currently doing her 4th semester .

She completed her schooling from Alphonsa Residential School, Bharananganam. She is a graduate in Business Administration from Mar Augusthinose College,Ramapuram. Along with LLB, she’s doing MBA from IGNOU.She worked as a Spoken English tutor in Manglish World Online Academy. She has an avid interest in corporate law and is looking forward to work as a legal advisor. Presently, She is working as the Editor Trainee at ljrfvoice.com

2. ANANDITHA SR is a first-year BA LLB student of Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Presently she is working as an editor trainee at ljrfvoice.com. She aspires to be a lawyer. LJRF has paved the way to develop her skills in writing and to voice out her opinions on the legal issues in our country. She has participated in virtual conferences and presented her research paper on topics ” social median and cyber crimes” ; ” constitutional crisis: the power tussle between the governor and chief minister”

3. MALAVIKA ANIL, Third year LLB student of CSI institute of legal studies , Parassala.

She did her schooling in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, chengannur after that she pursued her bachelor degree from NSS College, Pandalam where she took up English literature after that she shifted her carrier to law by joining LLB in year 2020 in CSI institute of legal studies , Parassala.
Her internship including one in Poojapura Central Jail, Gandi Bhavan International trust and also one in secretariat. Currently after completing her course, she is working as an intern in KRS Law firm under the guidance of Adv. Sreenivas. she even published an article “an expedition through sacred to profane phase; of the temple prostitution” and also participated in a national seminar organized by SILT, Kottayam. Her area of interest is mainly litigation, article writing etc. Currently she is associated with Ljrf as an editor trainee.

4. NIJESH S.P is a third year BA LLB student at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

He has attended several workshops and has presented papers at various national and international seminars.
Some of them are:

1) Three day international seminar on ‘Reproductive Rights of Women: Issues and Concerns’organised by Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram

2) Three day National Seminar titled ‘Indian Juvenile Justice System: Issues and Challenges’ organised by Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram

3) ’15th Two day National Workshop on Research Methodology’ organised by Kerala Law Academy Law College in association with Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR).

4) ‘National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission’ organised by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

5) ‘Six day Constitutional Law Virtual Lecture Series’ organised by The Tamil Nadu Dr. B R Ambedkar Law University.

He has also completed 2 certificate course

5. NEETHU NIZAR is a second year law student in Govt Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

She started her association with LJRF as the editor trainee. Her areas of interest include content writing and public speaking . Her charisma sets her aside from the rest and hence brings out a uniqueness to all that she commits. She has won third prize in essay writing competition organized by GLCT, special mention in MUN organized by St. Berchmans College.

6. ASIYA RAHMAN PUTHUPPURACKAL, is currently pursuing her First Year in BA LL. B at Govt. Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Since high school, she has a zeal for public speaking, participated in numerous oratory competitions and bagged accolades as well. In 2020, during the pandemic, Asiya discovered her affinity towards writing and is a budding social media short story writer, under the pen name : Airaa Zehreen. https://www.chotastory.com. She represented Govt. Law College Trivandrum in the event ‘Essay Writing English’ at the Kerala University Youth Festival 2023.  Her areas of interest in law include the Constitution, Criminal Law, and Legal Journalism. 

She is associated with the Law and Justice Research foundation since, after being recruited as an Editor Trainee at ljrfvoice.com. Whatever she professes, she aims to create a wide impact as a service to people and leave the world a better place than before.

7. E HARIPRIYA is a BA LLB student at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram

Her areas of interest include public speaking, writing and journalism. Have participated and won prizes in various elocution competitions, debates, recitations and quiz competitions. Have written various articles and blogs from school time.

8.KEERTHI ANIL is a first year BA LLB student at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.

An inexperienced and eager to learn approache led her to participate in various different seminars, MUNs and courses looking for her niche. Finally, leading her to a fateful interview with the Law and Justice Research Foundation for the post of an Editor Trainee. She has present a paper, “The Right to Euthanasia as a Fundamental Right: A Critical Asssessment” in the International Conference on Human Rights and Constitution Law by Centre for Legal Reasearch and Studies at VidhiAagaz. She has also participated in the 2nd National Conference on “Changing Dimensions of Law in the Era of Digital Technology” organized by the Law Society, Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Centre, Malappuram. Law-as a passion passed down by one of the most important people in her life, has always been at the forefront of her interests. But, she also takes pride in her works as an artist and a poet.

9.ARUNRAJ R,  doing UNITARY LLB in Sreenarayana Law College Poothotta Ernakulam.He is currently started his 4th semester
