Navia Sebastian Is The New Convenor Of LJRF Center For Probation Reform

 LJRF Centre for Probation Reforms is an initiative from the LJRF Kerala State Chapter aimed at providing capacity development for probation support teams consisting of Police Officers, Legal Councilors, Law students, MSW students, social workers under District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Pathanamthitta initiated for the first time on 15th November, 2020.  The Probation Reforms Committee has successfully executed Probation Fortnight Programme, Nervazhi and Jeevanam after its establishment which are the flagship programmes of Probation Department, Government of Kerala.  Recently on May, 2022 the Centre successfully provided a One-week Internship Programme on Probation Law Reforms in association with District Probation Office, Kozhikode and Government Law College, Kozhikode.

 Navia Sebastian is a penultimate-year law student at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. An avid reader and quizzer with a keen interest in research, particularly in a niche where psychology intersects with law and criminology. She is an aspiring researcher in the fields of juvenile justice, child behavioral psychology and legal aspects of probation. She is highly determined to contribute to academia and to put her skills to the best use in the field of law and beyond. She is also the newly selected convenor of Centre for probation reforms.
