National Conference on the Constitution in a Changing India: Government Law College Ernakulam

The Government Law College Ernakulam is set to host a three-day National Conference on the theme, “The Constitution in a Changing India”, in association with College Union 2023 -24 on May 29-31, 2024. The conference aims to bring together scholars, legal practitioners, and students to engage in a critical discussion about the evolving nature of the Indian Constitution in the face of contemporary challenges and opportunities. This conference will delve into multifaceted themes such as Federalism in the 21st Century, Fundamental Rights in the Digital Age, and Constitutional Interpretation in a Diverse Society, presenting a vibrant platform for students, legal scholars, practitioners, and enthusiasts to engage in thought-provoking discussions. Exploring the impact of globalization, technological advancements, and emerging challenges, the conference aims to foster innovative solutions, ethical frameworks for technological advancements, and a comprehensive understanding of constitutional goals and aspirations. We invite all legal minds to join us, as we navigate the evolving landscape of constitutional dynamics, fostering dialogue and insights that contribute to the ever-changing legal discussions of 21st century India. The conference will be held in offline mode.

Discussing the impact of technology on fundamental rights and access to justice.

Subtheme 3: Inequality and Social Justice: Rethinking Constitutional Goals and Aspirations.

Discussing potential reforms to address discrimination and marginalization.

Please note that the themes are not exhaustive and only suggestive in nature. Authors may submit articles on any relevant topics.

Submission Guidelines:

1.All submissions shall be in English and Docx format (Word file) only.

2. The paper should be typed in MS-Word Document format, Times New Roman, font size 12 & 1.5 spaced.

3. The main heading must be bold with font size of 14.

4. The footnotes must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 10 & 1 spaced.

5. Citation should be Blue-Book 21st edition.

6. The abstract with a word count of 250-500 words is to be attached with the registration form in the link given below.

7. The keywords are restricted to 05(five) and the same will not count towards the word limit.

9. Full paper submission must have 1500 to 2500 words, excluding the footnotes, abstract and keywords.

10. The cover page shall include the title of the paper, name, designation, address, e-mail ID, contact number, and the name of the college/firm/ University, along with the address of the authors.

11. In case of co-authorship, the cover page shall include details of both authors.

12. Neither the part of the submission should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

13. The full paper submission must be accompanied by the abstract, followed by the keywords.

15. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors.

16. Plagiarism up to 20% including the citations is permitted and the AI usage must be limited to 5%
