ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the premier investigating agency functioning under the Department of Personnel, Ministry of Personnel, Pension & Public Grievances, Government of India. With the motto ‘Industry, Impartiality and Integrity’, CBI enjoys the reputation of ensuring public safety and protection of health of national economy. It is the nodal police agency of the country and coordinates with the Interpol Member countries. In order to uphold the Constitutional ideals, the CBI conducts thorough investigation and successful prosecution of offences and provide leadership to police forces across the country.
ABOUT THE VACANCY
The CBI Academy at Ghaziabad, UP, with the aim of training CBI investigators and prosecutors, in Law and Criminology has invited applications from eligible candidates for the Lecturer Posts – Lecturer (Law) and Lecturer (Criminology) on deputation basis (including short term contract).

Type of Post: General Central Service, Group ’A’ Gazetted Non-Ministerial.
ELIGIBILITY
The vacancy is open for eligible and willing officers of the Central Government or State Governments or UTs or Universities or recognized research institutions or PSUs or Semi-Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organizations.
The Candidate must be:
| Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or |
| with two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the PB-2 Z 9,300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- (Pre- revised) [LeveI-8 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC] or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or |
| with three years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the PB-2; Z 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- (Pre- revised) [Level-7 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC] or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or |
| with eight years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the PB–2; 7 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- (Pre- revised) [Level-6 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC] or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and |
| > Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:- Essential:- Master’s Degree in law for Lecturer(Law) and Master’s Degree in Criminology for Lecturer (Criminology) from recognized University One year teaching experience in a recognized College or University or Training Institute of the Central Government or State Government. |
| Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications. |

REMUNERATION
Pay Scale is PB-3 Z 15,600-39100/- (Grade Pay Rs.5400/- Pre revised) (Level-10- as per 7th CPC).
Officers on deputation to the CBI will be entitled to a Special Security Allowance of 20% of their basic pay every month.
