ABOUT THE COMPETITION:
The Juris Nexus – 2026 International Moot Court Competition is a premier global moot centered on the dynamic intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights. Organized by the University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University, the competition aims to simulate real-world legal challenges emerging from technological advancements and evolving IP regimes.
This moot offers participants a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary issues such as AI-generated works, data ownership, algorithmic accountability, and the future of intellectual property law in a digital age. With a carefully curated proposition and competitive rounds, the event promises an intellectually rigorous and enriching experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Develop advanced legal research and drafting skills
- Engage with cutting-edge issues in AI and Intellectual Property Law
- Enhance oral advocacy through competitive rounds
- Interact with legal professionals and academicians
- Compete for cash prizes worth ₹1.8 lakhs and certificates
ELIGIBILITY:
- Open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs
- Participants must be from recognized institutions
- Each team shall consist of speakers and/or a researcher as per rules
- Each institution may register one/two teams
