Legal Internship Opportunity at Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) – 2026 (Apply before Aug 14)

The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) has invited applications from eligible law graduates for engagement as Intern (Legal) at the Commission, Thiruvananthapuram.

ABOUT THE COMMISSION

The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission(KSERC) was constituted under the provisions of Subsection (1) of Section 17 of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998.With effect from 10th June 2003, the Commission has come under the purview of the Electricity Act, 2003, as the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 has since been repealed.

The Headquarters of the Commission is at Thiruvananthapuram.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Fresh graduates holding an LL.B. degree from a recognised University are eligible.
  • Candidates must have passed the LL.B. examination before 26 June 2026.
  • Only candidates who have passed in first chance will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Malayalam and English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, MS Word, spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation is essential.
  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 80% or equivalent marks in both 10th and 12th standards.
  • Candidates should have secured a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (60% and above of total marks) in the qualifying LL.B. degree.

AGE LIMIT

5-year integrated LL.B. graduates: Below 23 years as on the date of notification.

3-year LL.B. graduates: Below 24 years as on the date of notification.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection will consist of:

1. Online Multiple Choice Objective Type Test

2. Personal Interview

The online test will contain 100 questions and will have a duration of 90 minutes. Negative marking will apply for wrong answers.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the online test. The final rank list will be prepared based on the combined score of the online test and personal interview.

STIPEND
