ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, established in 1969 and declared a Deemed to be University in 2008, is one of India’s leading multidisciplinary institutions. The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in accordance with the guidelines of the Bar Council of India and the University Grants Commission. The School emphasizes academic excellence through internships, clinical legal education, research opportunities, seminars, workshops, and value-added programmes that prepare students for the legal profession.

The Conclave is jointly organised by the Environmental Law Studies and Orientation Programme and the Management Studies & Incubation Startups Committee (MSISC), which promote interdisciplinary learning, sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers.

ABOUT THE CONCLAVE

The Environmental Law Studies and Orientation Programme, in collaboration with the Management Studies & Incubation Startups Committee, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), is organising CONCORDIA 2026 – National Conclave & Paper Presentation on the theme “The Environment Between Rights and Markets: Environmental Governance, Green Jurisprudence and the Sustainability Transition.”

The Conclave seeks to examine the evolving relationship between environmental governance, sustainable development, business responsibility, public policy, and market-driven sustainability initiatives. It aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for students, researchers, academicians, policymakers, and professionals to present original research, exchange ideas, and contribute towards discussions on sustainability, climate action, ESG, corporate governance, environmental justice, and emerging sustainability frameworks.

ELIGIBILITY

The Conclave is open to:

Undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
Research scholars from Law, Management, Environmental Science, and other allied disciplines.
Individual as well as co-authored paper submissions are permitted in accordance with the submission guidelines.
Interdisciplinary and collaborative research is encouraged.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Participants intending to present papers must submit their abstracts through the prescribed registration form. Abstracts will undergo peer review, and only accepted submissions will be invited to submit full papers and complete the final registration process.

The Conclave will be conducted in hybrid mode at the Central Campus of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. Accommodation will not be provided by the organising committee, and participants are expected to make their own travel and lodging arrangements.

Offline participation is limited to the first 60 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees are payable in two instalments and are non-refundable unless otherwise notified.
