Kerala’s Social Justice Department has invited applications for a paid internship programme for the 2026–27 year, offering graduate and postgraduate students a structured opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to social welfare administration while earning a monthly stipend of ₹10,000.
Duration: The internship runs for a period of 6 months, giving selected candidates sustained exposure rather than a short-term placement.
Stipend: Interns will receive ₹10,000 per month for the duration of the programme.
Vacancies: A total of 31 positions are available across the state: 3 at the Social Justice Department Directorate and 28 spread across the 14 District Social Justice Offices, with 2 positions allotted to each district.
Focus Areas: Interns will be placed in roles connected to some of the department’s core welfare mandates, including programmes for persons with disabilities, senior citizen welfare, transgender welfare, and probation-related work. This gives candidates direct exposure to how state-level social welfare schemes are implemented on the ground, rather than purely desk-based or theoretical experience.
