Meet our editor trainees for the year 2022!

Law and Justice Research Foundation- Voice is very excited to welcome it’s new editor trainees who made it possible to find places here, after undergone LJRF Voice’s internship programme of 2022.

The Law and Justice Research Foundation is giving this extravagant opportunity to develop each of their skills, interest and to gain sophisticated experience in the filed of legal journalism under proper guidance.

This programme will allow selected fellows to: (i) Assist LJRF team on article reporting and research projects. (ii) Support faculty in the delivery various prestigious programmes.

Our six editor trainees come from varied backgrounds with a wide range of academic and intellectual interests.

As a trainee they will work with members of Law and Justice Research Foundation on various aspects of legal journalism, where they will learn and contribute to ongoing projects, thereby providing valuable contributions.

We spoke to our new editor trainees on their work and interests. Here’s what they had to say:

1. JESSICA MARIAM VINOD, an aspiring lawyer doing BBA LLB (Hons) in Govt law college Thrissur, currently finished off with her 3rd year.

She did her schooling at Gregorian Public School, Maradu. Owing to the pandemic, she was only able to secure few online internships which included research works, attending classes on different arenas of law, drafting, etc.

Her offline internships include one at the Excise Department. Another one was at the Warriar & Co law firm under the guidance of Senior High Court lawyer, Advocate Sreelal Warriar and one at MR Rajendran Nair & Associates under the guidance of Adv MR Hariraj and Senior High Court Lawyer, Adv MR Rajendran Nair.

Currently she’s doing her internship at the Kerala Administrative Tribunal under the guidance of Adv Shameela.

She finds immense interest in Constitutional law and IPR. Joining LJRF Voice has paved her way to fortunately being chosen to an Editor Trainee post at ljrfvoice.com .

2. SIVARENJINI .G.B is a BA LLB Student at Govt Law College Thiruvananthapuram.

She started her association with Law and Justice Research Foundation through an Internship programme in Legal Journalism organised by ljrfvoice.com.

Presently, she is working as the Editor Trainee at ljrfvoice.com.

She won the first prize in Malayalam Elocution at Kerala University Youth Festival in 2022. Her areas of interest include Public Speaking , Debate and Writing Essays.

3. KARTHIKA V. A is a first year BA LL.B Student of Government College Thiruvananthapuram.

She started her connection with Law and Justice Research Foundation through an Internship programme in Legal Journalism organised by ljrfvoice.com.

She had presented a paper on the topic “Violence against women: Domestic violence and honour based violence” in the National Webinar Organized by Department of Kerala University. Presently, she is working as the Editor Trainee at ljrfvoice.com.

4. K.M DEVIKA has completed her B.Com LLB (Hons) degree from Govt Law College, Ernakulam and currently interning under Adv. P N Balagopalan.

She associated with Law and Justice Research Foundation through the one week internship program conducted by LJRF voice.

She has a keen interest in legal journalism as well as practicing as an advocate.

She aspires to be a lawyer; writer through her association with LJRF.

5. AMMU . S is a LLM student at School of Indian Legal Thought, MG university, Kottayam.

She completed her B com degree from Baby John Memorial Government College Chavara, university of Kerala in the year 2017. She completed her three year LLb from Sree Narayana Law College, poothotta , affiliated with MG university in the year 2021. She started her cooperation with Law and Justice Research Foundation through an internship on legal journalism and published a journal titled “BIOETHICAL DEVELOPMENT IN INDIA” in ljrfvoice.com.

She is part of Academic implementation team for the One Ward One Law Graduate Program is a prestigious project of LJRF. Presently, she is working as editor trainee at ljrfvoice.com. She participated in national and other seminars related to law conducted by different institutions. Her area of interest includes conducting seminar, taking lectures.

6. GAUTHAM is an LLM Student in Central University of Kerala, Thiruvalla Campus.

He completed his BA LLB Degree from Government Law College Ernakulam. He is a blogger ( https://www.blogger.com/profile/02357898829365632666 ) and also has written many articles in different medias like Metro Vartha, Dool News, E vartha, Fanport etc.

He has connected with Law and Justice Research Foundation through an internship on Legal Journalism and his Case comment on ‘Re Inhuman Conditions in 1382 Prisons’ has been published in ljrfvoice.com and then he has selected as an Editor Trainee there and currently he works in that Position in LJRF.
