Dr. R. Bindu, the Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice inaugurated a 4K Dolbi Atmos Educational Theatre at the campus of Kerala law academy on 05.01.2023. The programme was presided over by Sri. V. K. Prasanth, Member, Kerala Legislative Assembly.
Dr. N. K. Jayakumar, Former Vice Chancellor, NUALS, Kochi delivered the welcome address. Sri. Koliyakode N. Krishnan Nair, Chairman, Kerala Co-operative Circle Union and EC Member, Kerala Law Academy, delivered the special address. The programme came to an end as Prof. Hareendran K, Principal, Kerala Law Academy proposed vote of thanks.
About Kerala Law Academy
Established in 1966 Kerala Law Academy [KLA] is a seat of excellence in legal education, consultancy and research and in pioneering law reforms. The formal inauguration of KLA was done on 21 October 1967 by E M S Namboodiripad, the then Chief Minister of Kerala. The Academy’s prestigious institute, “the Kerala Law Academy Law College” is located in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. ‘KLA Legal Aid Clinic and KLA Legal Services Centre’ is actively working to impart legal awareness to poor and illiterate people and to make students socially relevant and professionally competent legal professionals. It also offers legal and paralegal services by the faculty and the students. KLA was the first organization in the state to take up legal aid on a massive scale. KLA’s acclaimed peer-reviewed/refereed research journal“Academy Law Review” has been published continuously since 1977.
