Graphic Trades Private Limited (GTPL) is a 30-year-old Pan-India IT infrastructure and system integration company delivering end-to-end technology solutions for the Government of India and several state governments, including Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Jammu & Kashmir.
GTPL works on mission-critical public sector projects such as election webcasting, disaster management platforms, campus networking for premier institutions, and surveillance systems for government bodies. The legal team plays a crucial role in managing high-value government contracts, regulatory compliance, tender documentation, and contractual risk management.
This internship offers law students the opportunity to gain practical exposure to government contracts, commercial transactions, and corporate legal practice.
Internship Responsibilities
Selected interns will work on a variety of corporate legal assignments, including:
* Reviewing government tenders, RFPs, and bid documents
* Identifying contractual risks, liabilities, and red-flag clauses
* Drafting and vetting:
* Commercial agreements
* Vendor agreements
* Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
* Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs)
* Supply agreements
* Work orders
* Preparing simplified contract summaries for operational teams
* Proofreading legal and quasi-legal documents
* Drafting legal notices, replies to show-cause notices, and official correspondence
* Monitoring:
* Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs)
* Earnest Money Deposits (EMDs)
* Contractual compliance timelines
* Assisting in legal research, due diligence, regulatory compliance, and resolving legal queries.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
* 4th or 5th-year students of a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme, or
* 2nd or 3rd-year students of a 3-year LL.B. programme, or
* Law graduates (3-year or 5-year LL.B.)
Preferred Skills
* Sound understanding of:
* Contract Law
* Civil Law
* Indian Contract Act, 1872
* Familiarity with the Companies Act, 2013
* Strong legal drafting and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of GST and Income Tax laws (preferred)
* Prior internship experience in litigation, a law firm, or a corporate legal team is desirable but not mandatory
* Detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable handling document-intensive work

Location: Churchgate, Mumbai (In-office)
Duration: 2 Months (Extendable based on performance)

Stipend
* ₹2,000–₹5,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance
