The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, through its Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP), in association with the Competition Commission of India (CCI), has announced the 2nd NUALS–CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2026.
The competition provides law students with an opportunity to engage with contemporary issues of antitrust and competition law, while developing their skills in legal research, written advocacy and oral submissions.
According to the official brochure, the competition will be conducted in a hybrid format, with the preliminary and quarter-final rounds taking place online and the semi-final and final rounds being conducted offline.
About NUALS:
The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, was established in 2005 by the Kerala State Legislature and is recognised as a prominent institution for legal education in India.
The University has a strong tradition of participation in national and international moot court competitions and places emphasis on research, practical legal education and the holistic development of law students.
About the Competition Commission of India:
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is the statutory body responsible for safeguarding competition and regulating anti-competitive practices in India under the Competition Act, 2002.
The CCI deals with issues including cartels, abuse of dominant position, collusive tendering and combinations that may cause an appreciable adverse effect on competition.
About the Centre for Competition Law and Policy:
The Centre for Competition Law and Policy (CCLP) at NUALS focuses on research, education and knowledge dissemination in the field of competition law and policy.
The Centre seeks to connect students with regulators, academics, practitioners and industry experts while promoting research and capacity-building initiatives in competition law.

Registration Details:
The Stage I registration fee is ₹2,500 per team, inclusive of tax.
Registration will be considered complete only after submission of the registration form and payment of the registration fee.
Teams qualifying for the Semi-Final Rounds will subsequently receive the Stage II registration and payment details through their registered email addresses. The Stage II fee is ₹4,500 per team.
The registration fee is non-refundable except where otherwise decided by the Organising Committee.
